Celebrating Future Shock
A close collaboration, a lasting influence

Carrying forward the Toffler tradition of thinking.

Deborah worked closely with futurists Alvin and Heidi Toffler, and later served as CEO of Toffler Associates, the strategic advisory firm they founded. Through years of direct collaboration and intellectual exchange, she gained a rare understanding of the Tofflers' thinking, not simply as theory, but as frameworks applied inside governments, industries, and institutions confronting rapid change.

She translated their ideas into strategy for leaders across aerospace and defense, healthcare, telecommunications, information technology, and government, gaining firsthand insight into how organizations adapt, resist, or fracture under accelerating disruption.

A wide-angle lens

Where innovation, human behavior, geopolitics, and transformation meet.

Deborah has advised leaders confronting many of the same forces the Tofflers anticipated decades ago: technological acceleration, shifting global power, institutional fragmentation, systemic risk, and the psychological strain created by constant change.

What distinguishes her voice is not only her proximity to Alvin and Heidi Toffler, but decades spent applying, testing, and evolving the ideas that shaped modern futures thinking, while helping leaders interpret change as it unfolds.

The Pulse of Tomorrow

How Future Shock Still Shapes Our World

Coming in 2027, The Pulse of Tomorrow tells the story of Alvin and Heidi Toffler, the ideas that changed how the world thinks about change, and why their work feels newly urgent in an age of artificial intelligence, institutional disruption, and accelerating human adaptation.

It carries the Toffler method into the present, asking not only what is changing, but what change asks of us.

Convergence

Technology, Business, and the Human-Centric Future

In Convergence, Deborah examines how rapidly converging technologies are reshaping business and society, and makes the case for keeping human values at the center of the systems we build.

Foreword by Beth Comstock, former Vice Chair of GE.

A life guided by curiosity

The journey behind the work.

Deborah's path has been shaped by a deep curiosity about how the world works, and how humans adapt as it changes. From an early interest in science and systems to decades advising leaders on the front lines of disruption, her work has always centered on one question: how do we create futures that are not only more advanced, but more humane?

When she is not writing, interviewing researchers, or exploring complex ideas, Deborah is often far from her desk. She travels widely, photographing the world from Antarctica to the foothills of the Himalayas, and seeks out the people and conversations that challenge conventional thinking.
